Gwen Spurlock is one of WideWorld's bloggers

Today WideWorld is proud to announce the launch of www.wideworldblogs.com - a new dedicated site for WideWorld bloggers - where you'll meet first-hand the athletes, writers and explorers on the front-line of adventure.

WideWorld blogs will grow and grow, so please bookmark the URL so you can follow the exploits of our roster of bloggers. We launch with an exclusive blog from Britain's top female surfer, Gwen Spurlock, Explorer Mikael Strandberg, and Middle East adventure tour guide Hannah Jordan.

Spurlock was the 2009 UK Pro Surf Tour Women's Champion - adding the accolade to the Welsh Junior and British Junior titles she had already won last year. In this blog, Spurlock will talk about training, diet, competition, and the rising popularity of surfing in the UK, plus she'll let you know what she's up to as she competes in 2010.

Mikael Strandberg wrote last week's provocative lead article for WideWorld on the future of expeditioning. In this blog he'll talk about everything from choosing kit to finding sponsorship to the physical and mental preparation of undertaking an extreme adventure.

Finally, Coach and Camels: Hannah Jordan's Middle East blog, will take you on a journey with Hannah as she explores the Middle East as an official tour leader.

And there will be more fascinating blogs added to the list over the coming months. So, read, interact, and don't forget to let us know what you think by commenting on their blog posts, on the stories on the main WideWorld website, and via Facebook, MySpace or Twitter.
