Newquay’s Fistral Beach is set to host of the Gul Night Surf competition next weekend.
It's the only nighttime surf competition in Europe and will attract the cream of British surfers as well as a host of international competitors.

The three-day event - returning for its second year at Fistral - will see competition across the men’s and women’s event as well as the Longboards and the Custard Point-sponsored Stand up Paddle board competition.

The weekend’s festivities do not end there. Faltown Longboards are set to put on a unique display of what you can do when the surf is flat, and there will also be a mini ramp for a shortboard showdown of tricks and air.

If you need a break from the surfing overload, fans will have beach volleyball and product-testing centres at their disposal. A giant screen will show both classic and new British surfing movies as well as live streaming and highlights of the Gul Night Surf event. There is also the small factor of the England-Algeria FIFA World Cup match being streamed live on Friday 18th to put those footballing minds at ease.

After the intense competition of the weekend, Sunday night will see the traditional fireworks display followed by the after party hosted by Newquay’s own Beach Nightclub.
