Performance
First off, the price. Like all the 5.11 Tactical gear (which we love), this jacket is really well-priced at under 150 quid. And for that you get a hard-wearing windproof, waterproof and breathable jacket that will stand up to the most testing environments. We wore it in a rainstorm and it performed admirably. It has waterproof zippers and welded seams so it doesn't leak on the bits you do up either (the underarm zippers can be opened for more ventilation). Plus it's not too bulky, the six pockets are in perfectly positioned places, and the removable hood which snaps onto the collar can be stowed in the rear pocket if it's not needed.
Verdict
For jackets in this price range, you'll find it hard to better the Sabre.
