Product

Go Pro Helmet Hero Wide.

Promise

The world's smallest, wireless helmet and gear-mountable video camera for outdoor sports.

Performance

There’s been a veritable boom in the helmet-cam market in recent years, and it’s not hard to see why. We all love watching ourselves pull stunts, and you never know when your pals are going to pull off the most extreme moves: you need to catch all the action quick. This quick-release model attaches to both vented and non-vented helmets, as well as having a headstrap so you can wear it like a head torch. What separates this 5MP camera from the crowd is the 170-degree wide angle lens – the widest on the market – that lets you scoop up the action. It uses a 2GB standard SD memory card with a battery life of up to three hours.

Verdict

Great looking, water-and-shockproof and with a superior lens to the competition: you won’t find better at this price.
