Promise

Rugged, all-Weather dog boots that provide durable and functional protection for sensitive paws during any outdoor adventure. Prominent Pets say these tough dog boots keep paws safe and dry, while helping to prevent injuries from heat, cold, ice, salt, stones and abrasive surfaces. They're made using breathable, water-repellent nylon with durable no-skid soles. The stretchy, ribbed knit ankle cuffs add comfort, while the adjustable Velcro straps keep these boots snug and secure.

Performance

We tried these out on our faithful friend, WideWorld's dog Scruff. Getting them on was the first hurdle - Scruff isn't used to pulling on a pair of socks, let alone boots, and there was no treat involved so he wondered what the hell was happening. Second hurdle: keeping them on. At first we didn't secure the velcro strap tight enough and after walking around with huge strides like John Wayne for a few seconds, Scruff managed to ditch both back booties and disappear into the forest. The second attempt was more successful. The pavement or rocky trail gets hot in summer - particularly if you're in a baking hot climate - and it's too scorching for dogs' paws to handle. So these lightweight, all-weather boots are ideal. They may look a bit odd, and your pooch may need to get used to them, but it'll mean he doesn't have to stay behind next time you want to hike in the heat.
