Performance

The Findhorn 4 from Lichfield's Exceed collection is a step away from glam-camping in terms of space and comfort.

Granted it's a hefty 11.25kg, but if you're a weekend family camper driving to your favourite paddock then this monster is worth it's weight.

A light HH rating of 5,000mm for the fly sheet is suitable for summer showers and makes for a modest price, while the ground sheet boasts 10,000mm where it counts.

With a living area providing mesh storage pockets and windows out over the views it makes for comfortable camping. The sleeping area has a darker inner layer keeping the early morning sun from disturbing your sleep.

Three vents keep the air flowing and with all that headroom condensation isn't an issue.

Verdict

Pitched in about 5 minutes without instructions, the TAS pole setup (one main steel pole with 2 fibreglass poles) is intuitive to assemble and even 6ft plus folk will be impressed with the headroom. Pitched as one complete tent it's also simple enough to pack away back to it's 74 x 28cm size. A great group party tent so long as you don't have far to carry it.
