Realising the Muddy Tracks Tee is designed for comfort, the slightly loose fit leans more towards the mountain biking fraternity as the name suggests, rather than lycra clad road touring.

Either way, for those that opt for comfort over wind resistance the Muddy Tracks Tee is the dream ticket. With open hole mesh under the arms and down the back and a deep zip down the chest it's not something you can overheat in.

Flatlock seams, gripper elastic and a UPF of 25 only add to the comfort of your long rides..

A back zip storage pocket with 2 elasticated bottle holder pockets either side provide some optional extras, though two full bottles pulling at your shirt can defeat the object of comfort.

Verdict

Whether cycling in the sun or endless drizzle this new tee from The North Face keeps you comfortable, cool and dry with its Vaporwick fabric and performance cut. The material is prone to getting a little whiffy after a couple of rides so a method of inhibiting bacteria could have maxed out the star rating and taken this tee to the next level.
