These trousers have been the clothing of choice for the US military and law enforcement for the past 30+ years. Made of cotton and available in 11 colors, they have seven pockets and are designed to be comfortable and functional.

Performance

These trousers are tough: made of 8.5-oz. 100% cotton canvas that gets more comfortable the more you wear them. Now you're (probably) never going to wear these to the cinema or out to the pub but we're reviewing them here because these are great for a variety of different outdoor pursuits from hiking and camping to full-on expeditions and adventures. They've got a self-adjusting waistband, the pockets are roomy, and a narrow thigh pocket means you've got somewhere to stuff that mobile phone or knife. They're also incredibly strong and durable. What's more, they're cheap too. 511 Tactical is based in the States but they'll ship worldwide

Verdict

As practical as they are tactical, you're unlikely to be caught short in a pair of these. If your partner's not into the NYPD look, these are unlikely to get out of the kitbag until you're well in the bush - no bad thing really, because that's what they're here for.
