Cyclone Buff with Windstopper

Promise

The multifunctional headwear garment with the highest degree of wind protection.

Performance

From the original multifunctional headwear company comes the Cyclone Buff from the Innova range for outdoor sports where wind, speed and the winter weather combine.

The classic double-layer seamless polyester microfibre coupled with Windstopper Gore fleece creates ideal protection during winter sports and activities. Whether you’re skiing, mountaineering, cycling or just rambling in the wind, the Cyclone Buff can be worn as a scarf, beanie or balaclava while offering maximum breathability and wind protection.

Active Odor Control using Polygiene technology (based on environmentally-friendly natural silver salt) keeps the microfibre from getting stinky after countless sweaty outings, and the fabric’s breathability also improves its drying time.

Buff's other new and notable high performance products include the Polar Buff Reversible (combining microfibre & Polartec fleece), the Wool Buff (which is 100% Merino) and the Headband Buff® Reversible Polar (which again features Polartec fleece).

Verdict

Having had the original Buff turn into a solid ice collar after heavy breathing on a sub-zero snowboarding excursion, it's clear the new Cyclone Buff is the perfect development for that kind of speed-induced, biting cold. With a scallop-shaped neckline to sit snugly inside your jacket the 15% extra length and nature of the fleece means it's a little more bulky than the original, but far excels in winter performance and resulting comfort. Buff's simple and versatile products are continuing to adapt to enthusiast’s extreme requirements and they have hit the nail on the head with this very effective product.
