Climber Don Worsham stands in front of the Khunde Ridge in the Nepalese Himalayas at the foot of Pachermo Peak after an avalanche demolished the high camp.

Lying close to the Tibetan border, due to its remoteness, Pacharmo is considered a challenging climb. To the east, lies Mount Everest and to the north, Cho-Oyu.

Crevasses and the ice step 300ft below the summit can present problems for climbers attempting to conquer Pachermo.
